Dr Hannah Crory
(academic)
Hannah completed her PhD in supramolecular synthesis under the expert supervision of Prof. AP de Silva, at Queen's University Belfast. In 2021 she undertook a period of postdoctoral research at the University of Texas at Austin with Prof. Eric Anslyn, working on responsive gels utilising tunable, reversible bonding interactions. Dr Crory then returned to Ireland conducting postdoctoral research into bacteria-resistant polymers at NUI Galway and University College Dublin with Dr Joseph Byrne. In 2024 she returned to Queen's to commence her independent research career. Dr Crory and her research group aims to generate responsive polymers for bacteria signalling and medical device coating applications.
Luke Weatherald
(summer student)
Luke has been fabricating antiadhesive hydrogel materials as a summer student in the Crory group before he returns to University of Lancaster to continue his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry.
